We Listen program co-director, Heather Hughes and Penn State Center liaison, Nick Smerker swung by the People, Places and Spaces event hosted by GTECH Strategies on Pittsburgh’s Northside this past week to get an update on the work being done this summer by interns Emily Paskewicz and Jeff Holzer.
The event served as both the first public debut of the community asset map developed by Penn State, CMU and Chatham landscape architecture students and a forum for conversation about the neighborhoods represented by the “Northside” region. In addition to being a very exciting gathering in its own right, People, Places, Spaces also previewed some of the material and ways of listening to the community that will make their way into Emily and Jeff’s video documentation of their experience in the city.
- the crowd gathers
- and all is documented
Look for more soon as final edits to the Northside internship documentaries are made and posted online!
